What is are Epoxy Floor Coatings.

If you have a concrete floor in your warehouse or workshop or even in your home you need to protect it. Damage comes from almost anywhere, and can take a grievous toll on your floor. Water tracked inside often can erode and damage your concrete floor, and this is especially true where it snows and they salt the roads. Salt water just sitting in your concrete will take it apart quicker than you might think.

Eventually, your concrete will be pitted and potholed. As you could guess, this is worse for outside, as the surface is directly attacked by the elements, and there is more likely to be heavy objects on it. When water sinks into the pores of the concrete’s surface, it usually has nowhere to go, and unless it’s hot, it doesn’t evaporate very quickly. Water sitting like this can cause terrible ware and tare, even if it’s not seen. This kind of damage starts slowly then speeds up as the tiny, invisible holds and pits begin to grow into cracks and visible damage.

Depending on what kind of work is done over this floor, there are a number of things that can damage it worse then just water. If paint thinner, or acids are handled, and accidentally spilled, their affect can be worse then water. Even if a mop or brush, is applied immediately after the spill, the substance can still sink into the porous concrete and damage it from there.
