What is are Epoxy Floor Coatings.
The strongest, most powerful floor
treatment offered today is the epoxy coating. What it does is seal the
cement together on a much tighter level. It strengthens the bonds on a
molecular level, such that the surface of the concrete is hundreds of
times harder and more resistant to damage. This is the key to the power
of a concrete floor coated with epoxy.
Every time you walk over your concrete, or put a piece of furniture
down, or drag something across, you’re marring it, and weakening it.
Standard ware and tear, while not noticeable over the short term, is
quite constant and builds up. The longer it goes on the faster and
faster it damages. That’s why it’s important. This is so for an
unprotected floor, anyway. When an epoxy coat is applied, however, your
floor will suddenly be able to take any kind of punishment that can be
dished out.
